Budgam: Patients suffer as the Aga Syed Yousuf Memorial (ASYM) district hospital in the Budgam Township is devoid of any ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) specialist.

According to an RTI (Right to Information) while the hospital has been sanctioned an ENT specialist hospital administration has failed to fil the same post.

Patients claim that the health department has failed to provide a better health care to many villages dependent on it.

Hospital sources told, The INS News that earlier Dr Shafqat (ENT specialist) was appointed on sanctioned post but after his transfer authorities did not filled the post with an ENT specialist.

Medical Superintendent Budgam, Dr Deeba said that “it is true that specialist post of ENT is vacant but we have a Medical Officer (MO) Rank who is also having post-graduation in the same field and is specialised too to get the patients with ENT disorders treated.”
