Ganderbal: Authorities have launched an inquiry over alleged medical negligence that prompted health officials to shift a patient to SKIMS where she later breathed her last.

A lady namely Fareeda wife of Abdul Jaleel resident of Haknar Gund area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was operated upon onThursday at Trauma Hospital Kangan for family planning.

Family members of the deceased claim that post operation the patient was crying whole night due to pain but no Doctor was present in the night but only few nurses were  present in the hospital to treat the surgical patients.

They alleged that the patient was dead in the hospital but Doctors Friday morning referred her SKIMS Soura only to save their skin.

CMO Ganderbal Dr.Roshan Din Kasana said there are two Doctors present for the night in hospital. “But today morning due to some complications in patient, doctors referred her to SKIMS Soura where She died,” he said.
“I have constitute a enquiry team of 4 Consultant Doctors from Ganderbal who file the report within two days,” he said.
