Jammu: A  Village Defence Committee (VDC) member in Doda district was found dead with a bullet wound in chest. The death is alleged to be a case of suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Baljeet Roy, was found dead at Luddu Kansar village yesterday, police officials said.

According to report Roy used his licensed 303 rifle to end his life.

Police have started inquiry.
