Aga Syed Yousuf Memorial (ASYF) district hospital Budgam had procured the digital X Ray machine to upgrade its facility, benefitting patients of getting better test results.

“Since the machine is out of order and doctors prescribe digital X Rays, we have no option left but to seek appointments at private clinics,” a patient wishing not to be named complained.

According to Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Deeba,  the installation was delayed as the new structure to setup the machine is itself incomplete.

“The Contractors were on strike over some payment issues,” she said.

The digital X-ray machine will be installed in the new building coming up, she added without giving any time frame as to when the patients coming from far off villages will avail the facility for better diagnosis.
