Pune: Canopies crumbled during Midnapore rally where PM Modi was delivering a speech. At least twenty of the participants are injured and have been hospitalized.

“One of the tents collapsed while PM Modi was speaking,” the Indian Express report says.

The report says that the prime minister saw  tent collapsing and immediately instructed SPG personnel standing next to him to look after the people and attend to the injured.

“We pray for the speedy recovery of all those injured at the Midnapore rally today. The government is giving all help for medical treatment,” West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bajerjee, according to report, said her government is doing everything possible to give assistance to the injured.
