Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review all issues related to land owners which are displaced due to the establishment of AIIMS at Awantipora, Pulwama.

The meeting was informed that the total quantum of land for the establishment of AIIMS is 1772 kanals and five marlas. The construction of the outer wall is going on however the land owners are requesting compensation on the analogy of SKIMS Srinagar, Rakh-e-Arth Bemina and rehabilitation by way providing shops and reservation in employment as per the analogy adopted by the Railways department.

After threadbare discussion, the forum sought a detailed report in this regard which would be submitted to the State Government for consideration.

Special Secretary Revenue, District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Regional Director Settlement and Land Records, Assistant Director Health Services, Assistant Commissioner and other concerned officers were present in this meeting.
