Srinagar: An army man allegedly committed suicide with his service rifle in the frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir, official sources said.
They said panic gripped Army camp at Cherkote in Kupwara when an army man on guard duty suddenly shot himself with his service rifle on Friday.
The injured soldier was immediately rushed to military hospital at Drugmulla.
The deceased army man has been identified as Rifleman Ranjeet Singh.
