“Dr Rakshinda were posted in the Sub District Hospital Sopore and has been transferred to Hospital Baramulla on Tuesday,” an official said.

According to patients Sub District Hospital is ‘central place of North Kashmir’ and ‘Mother and child Hospital Sopore is the solitary hospital that caters to maternity cases for three districts Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora’.

“The transfer of gynecologist in the hospital will affect many people,” Kulsuma, a patients at the hospital told INS.

Patients claim that a specialists transfer from the hospital is not the first time such an ‘order’ has been issued but ‘there is a patern’.

“Government deliberately transfers good doctors from here creating lot of problems  among residents as well as patients,” a group of attendents at the hospital claimed.

There have been chatter of political interference in transfers earlier but we don’t know what has triggered this transfer,” claimed an employee at the hospital.
