Anantnag: Police on Thursday said that they have arrested two Over Ground Workers and recovered explosives from them as well.

According to Police  a joint Naka was eshtablished by Anantnag Police and 1st RR at interior pazalpora Urenhall Road Crossing and checking was conducted.
“During checking, two persons were found roaming around suspiciously. The naka party apprehended them and they were searched. During search One live grenade,one Chinese pistol(9mm) with 05 rounds(Live) and two bottles of Sodium Nitrate was recovered from their possession. They were identified as Junaid- ul-Islam Dar Son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Sail Chursoo Awantipora and Hilal Ahmad Ganie Son of Mohamed Abdullah Ganie resident of Larkipora Awantipora,” police said.

“In this regard a case FIR NO 112/2018.Under section 7/25 Indian Arm’s Act and 3/4 Explosive Substance Act registered in Police Station Bijbehara and further investigation is going on.”
