Train service resumes in Kashmir

Srinagar: Authorities on Wednesday resumed train services in south Kashmir after it was  suspended on Tuesday for security reasons for a day.

Situation was tense after killing of a youth in army firing  in Kulgam on Monday evening .

We have resumed the train service on all routes in the Kashmir valley today, a senior railway official said.

He said train will chug as per schedule on Budgam-Srinagar-Islamabad-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region. Similarly, trains will also run on Srinagar-Budgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in the north, he said.
