Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party, partners of ruling alliance with Peoples Democratic Party has decided to withdraw support to the government, thus paving way for Governors rule in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources said that the decision to withdraw support was taken by BJP top command chaired by National president Amit Shah following a meeting with ministers and leaders of BJP’s Jammu and kashmir unit at  New Delhi.

The formal announcement in this regard is expected in next few hours, sources said.

The development also comes few days after the government of India decided not to prolong anti militancy operations beyond holy moth of Ramadan, which culminated last week.
