Aerial firing by army after clashes in Shopian village

Shopian: Army on Monday evening allegedly resorted to aerial firing after its vehicles were attacked with stones in Kumdalan village of Shopian in south Kashmir, reports said.

They said army fired few shots and also beat up some youths in village when their vehicles were hit with stones. Youths assembled in village and started protest against army, they said.

Reports said clashes were going in village and some youths were arrested by Army when the report was filled. There was no official confirmation about youths being arrested by the army. (file picture for illustration)
