Anantnag:- A Youth has been killed by Government Forces during clashes in Ashajipora area of Anantnag on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Sheeraz Ahmed Naikoo son of Ghulam Mohammed Naikoo aged 33 a resident of Brakpora area in Islambad.

DH supritendent while talking to INS confirmed the death and said Sheeraz had sustained pellet injuries on his neck and head.

He was brought to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead, Medical Superintendent told The INS.

Meanwhile clashes had begun in Anantnag town after the conclusion of Eid Prayers in Eid Gah at Janglat Mandi early morning today.

The Police fired tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the protesters, however the youth regrouped in large number and battles continued.

The Government Forces opened fire and pellets upon civilians near the Ashajipora bridge in which Sheeraz was shot dead.
