HC quashes 6 detention orders under PSA

HC quashes 9 PSA detention orders

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has quashed detention orders under Public Safety Act, described as lawless law by amnesty international, against sis detainees and ordered their release from the preventive custody forthwith.
The detainees against whom the PSA detention orders were quashed include Naseer Ahmad Bhat (lodged in District Jail Kathua) son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Malangpora Awantipora, Mohd Taha Malik (lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu) son of Mohd Husam Malik o Vakil Colony, Brien, Nishat, Srinagar, Javid Ahmad Mir (Kotbhalwal jail) son of Gh. Mohi ud din Mir R/o Hajin, Tehsil Kralgund, Qaziabad, Jameel Ahmad Bhat (lodged in District Jail, Kathua) son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Bhat of Chechiloora Pattan, Shahid Ahmad Wani (lodged in District Jail, Kupwara) son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani of Kanigam Shopian and Abdul Rashid Sheikh (Central Jail, Kotebhulwal) son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh of Behrampora Rafiabad,
