A team of PHE employees on the directions of AEE Tral launched a drive against illegal water pipes installed by the residents of adjoining areas of Tral.

Official told INS that dozens of long plastic pipes were seized on spot by the team and were set ablaze in bus stand area of Tral.

They further said that residents of these areas had complained to the department that some residents were using plastic water pipes illegally, which caused drop in pressure of their lines.

‘This was a campaign to disconnect the water pipes illegally installed on direct supply lines,  people are requested to make judicious use of water and legalize the connections,” said an official.
