Police version of Shopian blast: 12 Civilians, 4 Policemen Injured

Shopian: Militants Monday afternoon lobbed a grenade at Shopian in Batapora area which exploded inflicting injuries to several civilians and few Policemen, police said.

The police spokesman said that the grenade exploded along the roadside amid the civilian population.

“Around 12 Civilians are reportedly injured in this explosion. A young girl has received critical injuries in this explosion while four policemen also sustained injuries in this incident,” they said, adding that they have been shifted to nearby hospital for medical treatment.
