Baramulla  : Fire broke out at NHPC receiving station in Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday afternoon.
Police officials of Boniyar told INS that  fire tenders were immediately pressed to douse the fire and was controlled with the efforts of locals, police and team of fire tenders.
He said that the cause of fire was not known immediately.
Officials in fire service department told INS  that it seems it seems a case of short circuit that might have led to massive fire. They added that a hut was also damagd in the fire mishap.
It is pertinent to mention here that last month Lower Jhelum Hydro electric power project NHPC Boniyar was damaged in fire mishap.
