Pulwama: Two of the five militants claimed to have been killed army at Tangdhar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have been identified by their families as Sheeraz Ahmad Sheikh of Lajoora, Pulwama and Mudasir Ahmad of Parigam, Kulgam.
Sources told INS that soon after the news spread, protests erupted in Pulwama town with youths assembling near police station and resorted to pelting stones on police station. The police fired tear smoke shelling. Shopkeepers downed there shutters and traffic movement also reduced considerably.
Families of both have rushed to north Kashmir to bring the mortal remains of their son’s to south Kashmir.
According to locals at their native villages they had gone missing for quite a some time, the duo is said to have crossed over to Muzaffar Abad, other part of Kashmir to recieve arms training.
Sources said pro-freedom Taranas were played through Masjid (mosque) loudspeakers.
Reports of protests were also received from Parigam area of Kulgam against the killing.
Meanwhile, family of Sheraz said that their son was killed and they received call from police station to take dead body of their son who is in Tangdar and was killed one May 26.
The bodies, sources said will be exhumed after completing all legal formalities and handed over to the families.
