‘2 militants killed in Kupwara woods’

Kupwara: Two militants were killed in an overnight gunfight with army at Darli area of Qaziabad Handwara in this north Kashmir district, officials said on Thursday.
An army officer said that the militants opened fire on a patrolling party of army’s 32 RR late last night at Qaziabad , a forest area. The fire was retaliated, resulting in a gunfight, he said.
“Early morning on Thursday, bodies of two unidentified militants were recovered along with as many AK 47 rifles and other war like stores,” he said.
The identities and the group affiliations of the slain were being ascertained, the officer said.
