Pulwama driver laid to rest amid pro-freedom slogans

Srinagar: Pro-freedom slogans rented the area as thousands of people on Monday attended funereal prayers of a civilian who was killed after militants attacked an army camp at Kak Pora area of south Kashmir district last night.
Reports said that large number of people participated in the funeral of Bilal Ahmad Ganie son of Mohammad Ramzan at his native Narwa village.
The mourners raised pro-freedom slogans as his body was being marched towards a ground where his funeral prayers were offered and also later when he was taken towards graveyard where he was buried.
Bilal, a sumo driver, was killed in an exchange of fire between militants and the army at Kakapora around 10:15 pm last night. Bilal critically injured after suffering a bullet injury in his head, following which he was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed. His brother, Mehraj-uddin who was accompanying him was missing for entire night before he returned home at dawn.
