Tral shuts to commemorate Sabzar, aide’s first death anniversary

Tral: A complete shutdown is being observed in Tral area of Pulwama district on Sunday, marking the first death anniversary of former Hizb Commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat, and his associate Faizan Muzzafar. Both of them were killed in an encounter at Tral on this day last year.
All the shops and other business establishments are closed in the sub-district while traffic is off the roads since morning.
Both the militants were killed in Saimoh village of Tral, 5 kilometres from sub district headquarter.
In the encounter with government forces, a youth was also killed, during the protests which had erupted near gunfight site.
Two houses had also suffered a massive damaged after forces blasted them with IEDs to neutralise the militants, who were holed up in one of the houses.
Sabzar Bhat was the resident of Rathsuna village in Tral who had joined militancy in 2015 after snatching a riffle from a paramilitary personnel in bus stand area while as Faizan Muzzafar was youngest militant who had joined militancy in March 2017 after snatching a riffle from a CRPF personnel in Goal Masjid area of Tral. On their anniversary today, taranas are being played in mosques of many areas in Tral.
