Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers on Thursday held a protest in Sopore, Bandipora, and Qazigund districts of valley over their pending monthly salaries from past four months.

Teachers say that government is unmoved to the fact that they have been denied salary in the month of Ramadan.

Demanding release of their pending salary , Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers of Dangerpora Zone of Sopore area on Thusday staged Protest demonstration against the failure of government to release the salaries of Teachers and delay in regularization of ReTs.

Scores of teachers from Hajin, Sumbal, Quilmukam and Gurez held a protest demonstration outside the office of zonal education officer at Hajin. They too were demanding release of their salaries forthwith.

“Instead of holding protests here, we should have been teaching at our respective schools. But government has forced us to come on roads, since our repeated pleas have fallen on deaf ears,” said a teacher.

Teachers in Qazigund too protested demanding monthly salary.
