Drug peddler arrested, 18 grams of brown sugar recovered

Srinagar: Continuing the drive “war against drugs”, Kulgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 18 grams of brown sugar from his possession.
SSP Kulgam Harmeet Singh said a police party laid a naka near Upper Bazar Qazigund. During naka checking, a suspected person, identified as Shahzad Ahmad Padder alias Shahlal son of Gull Mohammad Padder of Malwan Devsar was intercepted. On his search, 18 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession.
A case FIR number 121/2018 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Qazigund and investigation was going on. “More arrests and recoveries are expected.”
