Sopore : The residents of Edipora Bomai Zainger belt of sopore   are up in arms against the lack of drinking water and callous  approach of PHE department . People of Edipora Bomai  claimed that they are being forced to drink stinky and muddy water which results in various water borne diseases.

Residents said that 15 years ago PHE department installed a  tubewell in locality  on place  not suitable for tube well.

Officials were informed not to dig  tube well as the quality of the water at the designated spot is not pure.

Auqaf jamai masjid chairman told INS  that they requested   PHE officials  many times to install tubewell at a different place.

“No body is listening,” he said while appealing PHE to test the water.
