Condolence meeting held to mourn demise of Al-Haj Nazir Ahmad Zargar; INS management express sympathy

Srinagar: Calling Government of India announcement of unilateral ceasefire during the month of Ramadan as ‘cosmetic measure’, Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday said that ‘address the dispute’.

Mirwaiz was addressing a seminar, titled ‘Responsibility of Leadership in Safeguarding the Sanctity of Martyrdom’ at Hurriyat head office Rajbagh.

“It is a cosmetic measure. We need to find the root cause of the conflict and the reason why youth is picking up arms. We need to address the dispute,” Mirwaiz told the gathering.

Home Ministry headed by  Rajnath Singh on Wednesday have asked Indian troops in Kashmir not to launch anti-militancy operations in the state in view of holy month of Ramazan.

Pertinently Lashkar e Taiba, a militant organization, has rejected the Ramadan Ceasefire.
