Jamat e Islami’s Srinagar president slapped with PSA, shifted to Kotbalwal

Srinagar: Public Safety Act (PSA) has been slapped on Jama’at-e-Islami and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) leaders after they were arrested post participation in the funeral prayers of slain university professor, Dr Rafi Ahmad at Ganderbal.
Bashir Ahmad Lone, Jama’at district president for Srinagar had led the funeral prayers of Hizb militant at Ganderbal and addressed the mourners.

According to media reports Tehreek e Hurriyat district president Mohammad Rafiq Shah Totha’s been arrested and slapped with PSA.

According to sources PSA on the duo were issued late last night and were implemented early today.

Sources said that they are being shifted to Kotbalwal jail in Jammu.
Dr Rafi Ahmad was among five militants including Hizb commander Saddam Paddar who were killed in Badigam village of Shopian during a fierce gunfight with government forces.
