Kavinder Gupta assumes office as Dy Chief Minister

SRINAGAR, MAY 07: On the opening of bi-annual Durbar Move here today, Deputy Chief Minister Mr Kavinder Gupta assumed office here today.

On the occasion, people from different walks of life including Ministers and Legislators called on the Deputy Chief Minister and felicitated him on assuming the office.

Meanwhile, Administrative Secretary Industries & Commerce and Transport Departments briefed the Deputy Minister about the functioning of their respective departments.

A delegation of Non-Gazetted Secretariat Employees Union led by its President Ghulam Rasool Mir also met the Deputy Chief Minister and felicitated him for assuming the office.

Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister was accorded warm send-off by the officers and officials of the Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

Addressing the employees of the Legislative Assembly, the Dy Chief Minister expressed gratitude to them for their cooperation during his earlier tenure as Speaker LA.

Deputy Speaker, Nazir Ahmad Khan Gurezi and Secretary Legislative Assembly, M R Singh were also present on the occasion.
