15 funeral prayers for Saddam: Militants appear, give gun salute

Shopian: After fifteen back-to-back funerals since Sunday evening, Hizb’s poster boy Burhan Wani’s close aide and top Hizb commander, Saddam Padder, was laid to rest in district Shopian on Monday morning.

Locals  told INS that multiple-funerals were held for Saddam on Monday evening.

Militants appeared at the funeral of Saddam Padder. One of the un identified militants while raising slogans at his funeral in shopian.

They said that since today morning, several more funerals were held for the slain Saddam.

They said that roughly over fifteen funerals were held for the Saddam since yesterday evening.

Militants appeared at  his funeral and offered gun salute to their fallen comrade.

Thousands of people participated in the multiple Funeral prayers of Saddam Padder.

The last funeral for Saddam was held at 9.45 am today, locals said.

Amid anti-India, pro-freedom and gun salutes, Saddam was laid to rest at his native village in Heff, Shopian.

Saddam Padder along with his four associates, including assistant professor turned militant Dr Muhammad Rafi Bhat of Ganderbal were killed on Sunday during a gunfight in Badigam village of district Shopian.

Anti India, pro-Islam and pro Pak slogans reverberated the whole area

Meanwhile a complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir to mourn the killings.

Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) – compromising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik have called foe secretariat challo today in view of the killings.
