Jammu Kashmir Police Saturday said that they have taken cognizance of the accident and have also initiated necessary legal action.

Kashmir Zone Police on its official twitter account said: “Police has taken cognizance of the noorbagh road accident incident of today. Necessary legal action involving the police vehicle has been initiated.@JmuKmrPolice (sic).”

A video has gone viral on social media networking site, where some youth are seen chasing a bunker vehicles of police and CRPF while a contingent of police fired tear smoke shells.

Also, two youth are seen coming between the vehicles and police bunker briefly overtakes the CRPF vehicle.

One youth is clearly seen getting crushed under police bunker vehicle while the some civilians, who purportedly shot the video, are heard saying “the boy is dead.”

Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said the youth was “murdered and later denied by forces.”

“How a murder was committed by the forces today and then brazenly denied! Is there no sense of humanity left in India? #AdilMurdered,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
