JRL calls for shutdown on May 6 against Chattabal killings

Srinagar: Joint Resistance leadership has called for a state wide shutdown against killing of three militants and a civilian in chattabal area of Srinagar on Saturday.

In a press statement issued by the conglomerate JRL ‘paid tributes to the slain armed fighters and a civilian’.

“The valiant and freedom loving youth are laying down there lives for freedom and to support the occupied nation. The nation owes it to them,” they said in a statement.

JRL while paying tributes to the killed militants and the civilian who ‘was crushed to death by forces in an inhumane way called for a state wide shutdown.

“A complete state wide shutdown will be observed on May 6,” JRL said.

JRL a conglomerate comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, MIrwaiz Umar farooq, and Yasin Malik condemned police action to thwart the presser they were to hold in Srinagar hotel on saturday.

They also condemned the killing of a driver in Sopore by unidentified gunmen.
