Srinagar: Massive clashes between protesters and government forces have erupted in several areas adjoining Chattabal in Srinagar where a gunfight between militants and government forces is underway.
Protesting youth clashed with government forcesin Khanyar, Ranger Stop and Nowhatta, Noor Bagh, Malik Sahb Safa Kadal, Cement Kadal and near Chattabal, reports said.
All these areas are in the immediate periphery of the area where encounter is going on.
Mean while traffic has been diverted from entering into main city from Parimpora bypass.
