Chattabal encounter: Adil died of ‘crush injury in road traffic accident’, don’t heed to rumours: Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that the youth who is said to be killed during  clashes near the encounter site had died due to ‘road traffic accident at Noorbagh’ area of Srinagar.

Jammu and kashmir police tweeted that: One person identified as Adil Ahmad Yadoo was brought to SMHS hospital whom doctors declared brought dead . Medical bulletin suggests that the person died due to a crush injury in a road traffic accident at noorbagh. Citizens may not pay heed to rumours. 

According to police, people should not heed to rumours, apparently refferring to news that the boy was crushed by CRPF vehicle during clashes with people around the site where gunfight is raging between militants and Government forces.

However police said that, according to medical bulletin the boy died due to ‘crush injuries in a road traffic accident’.
