Anantnag: Clashes erupted at Janglat Mandi area of Anantnag district post Friday prayers.

According to reports soon after people came out of Mosques commencing friday prayers youth clashed with government forces at Janglat Mandi gate.

Government forces retaliated by using tear gas to disperse protesters.

Jammu and Kashmir liberation front activists protested in Srinagar against the recent civilian causalities during anti militancy operation in south Kashmir. Zafar Akbar Bhat too took out a rally against the civilian deaths. He was detained by police.

 

Protests  in Anantnag were going on when this report was being filed.
