IIMC extends date for admission to various PG Diploma Courses in Journalism

JAMMU: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), an internationally known premier Institute for training and research in Mass Communication under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, extended the date for admissions to various Post Graduate Diploma Journalism courses in English, Hindi, Urdu, Radio and Television, Advertising & Public Relations and Odia/Marathi/Malayalam.

These courses would be undertaken in various campuses setup by IIMC across the country including Jammu as per details notified in the Admission notice for 2018-19. Graduate in any discipline would be eligible for the aforesaid Post Graduate Diploma courses.

The last date to apply for the abovementioned courses was May 1, 2018, which has been extended to May 10, 2018. All India level entrance examination would be conducted on May 26 (for Odia/Urdu/Marathi/Malayalam) and 27, 2018 for other courses at notified centers including Jammu and Srinagar. The interviews of short-listed candidates would be conducted in the last week of June/first week of July, 2018.

IIMC’s Northern Regional Campus at Jammu  is currently offering PG Diploma in English Journalism wherein students are exposed to Print Journalism, TV, Radio News production and PR Advertising and Media Management etc. which involves combination of theory and practical classes.
