Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) has expressed serious concern and condemned the indiscriminate use of force by the government forces that include lethal pellets and live ammunition on the peaceful protestors at Wangam, Shopian in which a minor boy was killed and dozens of other seriously wounded. The Hurriyat termed it as an open aggression and worst form of “State terrorism.”
The Hurriyat said that it was because of the unbridled powers given to the forces and the lack of accountability, every day innocent civilians are brutally killed, which is condemnable in all forms.
It said that brutal use of force and the “reign of terror” unleashed in Wangam, Shopian was now a routine affair of the forces who continue to kill Kashmir’s young at their will and wish.
Paying rich tributes to slain youth of Wangam, Shopian, Omar Ahmed Kumar, who was a student, the amalgam said that even teenagers and small boys are not being spared but shot and killed by the forces.
