May 03:The Government Forces on Thursday resorted to Aerial firing in Gofbal area of Quimoh in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District to disperse the protesting youth.

Eyewitnesses told The News Agency that Forces had entered the locality on Wednesday night to arrest some youth, however immediately the youth came out and clashes begun.

Early morning today, the youth again came out to protest the nocturnal raids in the area, Locals said.

Some vehicles of Government forces passed through the area, which were pelted with stones, they said.

Locals told The News Agency that The Troopers came down off their vehicles and fired some aerial shots to disperse the protesting youth.

Meanwhile a shutdown is being observed in the area against nocturnal raids.
