Court grants bail to Kulgam doctor

Anantnag: A local court here on Tuesday granted bail to Doctor Aijaz Rasool Wani, arrested last month in weapon recovery case. He was arrested ten days ago after an AK-47 automatic rifle and a pistol was found in his car, late evening in Kulgam district.

The doctor and his family had maintained that he had given lift to an unknown person in his car and that person fled when the car was stopped by government forces, leaving behind a bag, in which the rifle and pistol were kept.

Dr Aijaz Rasool Nangroo, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of malpora Wanpoh area in Kulgam district, was posted at Public Health Centre Qaimoh.

Earlier, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) called on top police officials and demanded his release.
