Baramulla:  Forces on Tuesday launched a cordon-and-search-operation in north Kashmir’s Old town Baramulla.

Police officials said  that a joint team of army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the operation in the area to nab the assailants who killed three civilians in Khanpora area last night.

He said that searches are being carried out in some parts of the town.

Three civilians – Asif Ahmad Sheikh, Haseeb Ahmad Khan and Muhammad Asghar – all residents of Kakarhamam – were killed by gunmen in Khanpora last night.

However operation was ended peacefully no one was arrested during CASO.
