Jammu: Bhartiya Janta Party’s senior leader and speaker Kavinder Gupta will be sworn-in as deputy Chief Minister of the state while BJP state president Sat Paul Sharma is among minister of state tomorrow. Also PDP leaders—Mohammad Khalil Band and Mohammad Ashraf Mir will also take oath as minister of state along with BJP’s Sunil Kumar Sharma, Rajiv Jasrotia, Davinder Kumar Manyal and Shakti Raj.
Meanwhile, deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh has tendered his resignation to party chief while all other BJP ministers had handed their resignations last week to pave way for bringing in new faces into the government.
The reshuffle was also necessitated by the ouster of two BJP ministers, Ch. Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga from the government over their support to the accused in the Kathua gang-rape and murder of eight-year-old girl.
