Knives used in KU law department group fight, several injured referred to SKIMS

Srinagar: Kashmir University’s law department students used knives in a group clash, leaving at least 10 students injured, two of them severely.

According to sources, one of the severely injured students Aqib has Knife wound in neck. He has been referred to SKIMS Soura.

Sources said that an argument erupted between 6th semester and 8th semester students that resulted in injuries to students including female ones.

A medical officer at the KU dispensary said that the injured had visible knife cuts, with one of them having an artery cut, who was quickly referred to SKIMS.

“One of the injured has head trauma, another received stitches. There uniforms were soaked in blood,” the officer said said.

Some of the injured were referred to Rainawari hospital. Several girls also fell unconscious. Some have minor injury, sources said.

KU PRO confirmed the incident and said the fight in law department led to injuries .
