Kupwara: Boys Higher secondary school Handwara Tuesday cracked down on students and seized about 300 mobile phones from students.
School authorities frisked students on entering the school premises.
“Several teachers were put to job and they frisked all the students while entering the school,” a teacher of the school said wishing anonymity.
“We received some complaints that, students are using mobile phones during class work and within school premises, acting on the same a drive was conducted today,” the teacher said.
“About 300 phones have been seized from students and won’t be given back until a proper counselling,” Manzoor Ahmad, Principal BHS told INS.
According to Manzoor the disciplinary committee of the school will decide ‘what step to take’ further in the matter.
