Tral : Strong winds followed by heavy rain on Friday afternoon damaged orchards, crops, houses besides disrupting power supply in many areas of South Kashmir, including Tral, Pampore and Awantipora and in Green Belt Gandhi nagar Jammu.

“In Gandhi nagar, green belt area winds blew and created fear in population while minor damages too occurred,” reports said.

In Tral, many trees, crops, and orchads were damaged and a shop was also collapsed in Panner Jagir village of Tral while as electricity poles and wires were also hit by strong winds.

The winds blew for almost twenty minutes but by the time they calmed damage was done.

The road connectivity in various areas including Ladibal-Shikargah also disrupted as many trees fall on the roads there.
