Pattan : Atleast 26 medical employees including two medical officers were suspended for being absent from duty at Pattan block in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district here on Friday.

Officials told INS that Block Medical officer Pattan Dr Masrat was on surprise visit at Pattan block and found many health employees absent from duty.

“All absent employees were suspended and called explanation from the heads of these centres,” sources said.

It has been learnt that among absent employees two has been identified as medical officers.

Meanwhile BMO Pattan Dr Masrat also directed authorities to deduct two and half day salary from the absent employees.
