Shopian 19 March

Amid student protest clashes erupted in jamia market shopian.various srudents from different schools assembled in shopian and eaised anri india slogans and demanded justice for ashifa.

Students pelted stones on security forces which they retailted with tear smoke shells and pellets. Fourteen youths injured so far 4 girl students a shopkeeper and two journalists were injured in which 2 youths were shifted to srinagar for further treatment.

Two professional journalists were also injured in clashes between youths and security forces while performing their professional duties identified as Ajaz Dar from zee news and firdous lone from 4tv both are professional journalist

Meanwhile protest held at Keller area of shopian between students and forces where students pelted stones on security which they retailted with tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting students.

Authorities yesterday closed degree colleague and higher secondary schools in district shopian as precautionary measure to stop student protest
