2 Pulwama cement manufacturers penalized for selling underweight bags

PULWAMA: The Field Executive of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) under the supervision of Assistant Controller Pulwama penalized two cement manufacturers for selling under-weight cement bags.

“During a surprise inspection, two Lorries carrying cement supplies to other districts were intercepted. The weight of the bags was conducted on spot for net contents which was found 1 kg less than declared net weight on the cement bags,” a statement of LMD said.

The Assistant Controller slapped a fine of Rs 24000 on the cement manufacturers for the short-filling of cement at their manufacturing units.
