Srinagar, April 17: Baramulla police arrested a psychotropic drug dealer and recovered 50 bottles of codeine phosphate from his possession.

Acting on a specific information a police team under the supervision of SDPO Pattan and SHO Pattan laid a Naka (checkpoint) on NHW at Zangam.

During frisking of vehicles one bike bearing registration No JK05C 5143 ridden by one Manzoor Ahmad Khawja son of Ghulam Rasool  Khawja resident of Nowlari Pattan was stopped by Naka party. During the search of the said person 50 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from his possession.

In this regard a case FIR No 81/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Pattan and Investigation taken up.
