Srinagar: The father of the 8 year old minor raped and murdered in Kathua has moved the Supreme Court asking for transfer of the trial outside the state of Jammu & Kashmir, barandbench reported.

The matter was mentioned today before Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, who agreed to hear the matter at 2 pm.

“Counsel is facing lot of backlash. Petition has been filed this morning. Request you to hear it today”, said the petitioner’s lawyer, as quoted by barandbench.com. 

CJI  Misra agreed to list the matter at 2 pm today.
