Srinagar: Police on Monday said that its preliminary investigations have revealed involvement of Hizb-ul-Mujahidden behind the attack in which a policeman and a civilian were injured in Shopian district o south Kashmir.
“Today afternoon (militants) opened fire in Shopian which resulted in the injuries to one civilian identified as Rafiq Lone and a policeman identified as Bilal Ahmad. They have been evacuated to hospital for treatment,” a police spokesman said. A case in this regard has been registered and investigations taken up, he said.
“Preliminary investigation reveals the involvement of HM (Hizb-ul-Mujahideen) outfit in this attack,” the spokesman added.
