The letter to the CJ J&K also reads: However, the actions of a select few which includes the jammu bar association as well as ministers of the J&K govt has made us wonder how low can humanity stoop, while th J&K police appears to have been making efforts to nab the guilty and bring them to justice, the communal tensions being spread by these groups appear to be concentrated efforts to create a communal divide in the social fabric of J&K and prohibit the dispensation of justice. It is extremely unfortunalte the lawyers who are envisioned as officers of the court and play a critical role in dispensatioof justice, have instead become communal mafia and therefore, all such lawyers are absolutely unfit to justify their profession.”

The letter also mentions that there are threats to the family of the victim and to their lawyers as well.

The DCW has urged the CJ J&K to take ‘urgent cognizance of the same and ensure justice to the 8 year old baby and her family’.

An 8 year old minor was gangraped and later murdered in Kathua area of Jammu division of the Jammu and Kashmir state.

Her body was later found in jungle.

Police has arrested the accused who had conspired against he nomadic bakarwal tribe to instill fear and make them run away from the area.

Three policemen too have been arrested in the case.

Crime Branch, was stopped by the lawyers from filing chalan in court after which police filed an FIR against them.
