Srinagar: Responding to the high drama created in Jammu by certain people including lawyers over Asifa rape and murder CM Mehbooba Mufti said that ‘The Law will not be obstructed by the irresponsible actions & statements of a group of people.’

Mehbooba Mufti took to social networking site Twitter saying:  “The Law will not be obstructed by the irresponsible actions & statements of a group of people Proper procedures are being followed, investigations are on the fast track & justice will be delivered”

Bar Association Jammu had called for a Jammu bandh yesterday which evoked a mixed response. The lawyers had earlier tried to block Crime branch from filing chalan against the accused in Asifa rape and murder case in court.

Police later filed an FIR against them.
